A miso maker that provides Echigo’s soul food
Echigo miso Brewing Co., Ltd.

Founded as a sake brewery in 1771 in Yoshida, Tsubame-city, and they started a miso factory in 1931. They still use the wooden buckets that has been used since Taisho era to make miso by spending the time and efforts. In the miso factory, you can smell miso in the air, and if you touch the wooden buckets, you can feel the dignity and thickness of the history. During the festival, they hold a workshop in which the visitors can experience the preparation of making miso.
